01 / Our Commitment

Accessibility is fundamental to our work as physicians. Everyone, regardless of ability, deserves access to clear, accurate information about their care. This commitment extends to how we design, build, and maintain this website. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project. The site is reviewed regularly and improvements are released as needed.

02 / Standards & Laws Followed

We aim to comply with the following accessibility standards and laws:

  • Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"). This site is operated by a place of public accommodation (a medical practice) and the Department of Justice has stated that the ADA applies to public-accommodation websites.
  • California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 51 et seq.) and California Disabled Persons Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 54 et seq.).
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, where applicable to federally-funded activities.
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ("WCAG") 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium ("W3C"), which we treat as the technical standard for our work.

03 / Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Last accessibility review: May 2026.

04 / Measures Taken

To support accessibility, this site is built with:

  • Semantic HTML so screen readers can interpret content and structure correctly.
  • Sufficient color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA minimum ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements. The site can be operated without a mouse.
  • Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images. Decorative images are marked accordingly.
  • Form labels and error messages programmatically associated with their inputs for assistive technology.
  • Logical heading hierarchy for navigation by section.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences through the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Responsive design tested across phone, tablet, and desktop breakpoints.
  • Text resizing through browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
  • Skip-link navigation to bypass repeated content.

05 / Compatibility

This site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of major desktop browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
  • Recent versions of mobile browsers on iOS and Android.
  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
  • TalkBack on Android.
  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows.

If you use assistive technology not listed here, we still want to hear about your experience.

06 / Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Embedded third-party content. Forms, maps, scheduling, or other tools provided by third parties may not fully meet our standards. We work with our vendors to address gaps.
  • Older PDFs. Some older patient-facing documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. An accessible version is available on request (see Section 07).
  • User-generated content. Where we display content from third parties (such as reviews), we cannot guarantee that the original content meets accessibility standards.

07 / Alternative Means of Access

If any content on this site is inaccessible to you, we will provide an accessible alternative on request, at no cost. Examples include:

  • Accessible (tagged) versions of PDFs and forms.
  • Help completing the consultation form by phone.
  • Large-print or alternative-format documents for office visits.
  • Sign-language interpreters or other accommodations for in-person appointments (requested in advance).

08 / Feedback & Reporting Barriers

If you encounter accessibility barriers on this website, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We aim to acknowledge feedback within five business days and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
